Blood Elf Players Fear Blizzard Might Change the Music in Quel’Thalas

Early WoW impressions of the new Silvermoon City and Eversong Woods—now called Quel’Thalas—are overwhelmingly positive. Exploring these updated zones in the Midnight Beta is a nostalgic treat, with players praising how the new zones still feel like the places they’ve known and loved since 2007.

But there’s one thing that Blizzard have yet to reveal… Something that has players holding their breath: the music. Music exists all around us, but why haven’t we heard anything about this yet?

The original scores for Eversong Woods and Silvermoon City are famous for their melancholic and haunting melodies. They perfectly captured the tragic storyline of the Blood Elves in The Burning Crusade, while adding a layer of magical intrigue. If you’d like a trip down memory lane, check this out:

The music in these zones is so iconic, you really can’t have one without the other. Players are threatening to riot if the music changes at all! Thankfully, Blizzard has done a great job with preserving the memory of the old zones. So we’re confident whatever revised version we get will capture the same mood we know and love.

As of now, the Midnight Beta doesn’t include any music for our ears, so we’ll just have to wait and listen. Let’s hope Blizzard does as good of a job of restoring the music as they have with the zones themselves.
