Season of Divine Intervention

Here is an overview of everything you can expect this season!

  • Item Journey Updates: Tempering & Masterworking
    • The way you improve your gear just got major changes. The item journey is now more predictable, rewarding, and customizable.
  • Tempering
    • Pick the exact affix you want; randomness is gone.
    • Only one tempered affix per item.
    • Ancestral items can upgrade tempered affixes to Greater Affixes.
    • Tempering Charges are now infinite, letting you experiment freely.
  • Masterworking
    • Progress now tied to item Quality (max Quality: 25).
    • Quality boosts base damage, armor, resistances, and affix effectiveness.
    • Reaching max Quality allows a Capstone Bonus, upgrading a random affix or turning it into a Greater Affix.
    • You can reroll Masterworked Greater Affixes using ObduciteObducite and NeathironNeathiron.
    • Non-unique items now have 4 base affixes instead of 3.
  • Monster Combat Evolution
    • Monsters are smarter, deadlier, and more unpredictable.
    • Key Changes:
      • Monsters now react and adapt dynamically.
      • Enemy packs are smaller but more tactical.
      • Champion packs replace standard Champion spawns.
      • 20+ new monster affixes; minions inherit some Elite affixes.
      • Torment difficulties now feature more potent old affixes.
  • Defense & Healing Overhaul
    • Season 11 introduces Toughness, revamped Potions, and Fortify changes.
  • Toughness:
    • Measures raw damage you can survive after all mitigation.
    • Armor and Resistances now have diminishing returns.
    • Damage reduction from skills and Paragon Nodes now boosts Armor/Resistances multiplicatively.
  • Healing & Potions:
    • Base Potion count: 4, heals 35% instantly.
    • Potions regenerate every 30 seconds.
    • Life on Hit, Life on Kill, and Healing % values increased.
  • Fortify Redesign:
    • Acts as an additional Life reservoir, healing you over time.
    • Stacks to max Life; when under max, heals a % of Life per second.
  • Seasonal Content: Lesser Evils
    • The High Heavens’ Hadriel is here to help push back the invading Lesser Evils.
  • Bosses:
    • Azmodan: Permanent world boss, found in Seasonal and Eternal Realms.
    • Duriel: Invades Helltide; spawns Pangs of Duriel.
    • Belial: Appears in The Pit; uses Eyes to confuse and summon minions.
    • Andariel: Corrupts Kurast Undercity; Shades of Andariel lurk within.
  • Divine Gifts:
    • Equip as Corrupted (harder, same rewards) or Purified (bonus effect, double rewards).
    • Unlock Purified slots by progressing Season Rank.
  • Sanctification
    • Apply Legendary bonuses, upgrade affixes to Greater Affixes, or add special Sanctification affixes.
    • Last upgrade for an item; makes it unmodifiable.
    • Earn Heavenly Sigils to sanctify Ancestral items in Torment difficulties.
  • Season Rank System
    • Replaces Seasonal Renown; each rank now has a Capstone Dungeon.
    • Rewards: Skill Points, Paragon Points, Smoldering Ashes, cosmetics, and Heavenly Sigils.
    • Capstone Dungeons: Vault of the Crucible, Hellish Descent, Enclave of Darkness, Den of the Apostate, Breach of Sin.
    • Season Blessings can be purchased with Smoldering Ashes for buffs like increased rewards or armor.
  • Tower & Leaderboards (Beta, Early 2026)
    • Multi-stage timed dungeon testing your skills against other players.
    • Leaderboards split by class, party size, and Hardcore/Normal mode.
    • Rewards and difficulty tuning will evolve throughout the Beta.
  • New Unique Items
    • Barbarian: Chainscourged Mail – Refreshes Brawling Skills for massive damage.
    • Druid: Khamsin Steppewalkers – Grants movement speed and immobilizes enemies when using Nature or Storm Skills.
    • Rogue: Death’s Pavane – Dance of Knives drops knives to boost damage.
    • Necromancer: Gravebloom – Raises smaller golems with faster attack speed.
    • Sorcerer: Orsivane – Bonus damage for unused Defensive Skills.
    • Spiritborn: Path of the Emissary – Moves grant Core Skill casts and movement speed.

Season 11 is all about control, customization, and challenge. Gear upgrades are more predictable, monsters are smarter, and world bosses bring serious tactical gameplay. With the Season Rank system, Divine Gifts, and Sanctification, your choices in combat and progression feel meaningful. The Tower and Leaderboards also set the stage for a more competitive endgame.
