The Midnight pre-patch brought with it a whole lot of bugs, as the squish and massive addon changes took their toll and added to the usual pre-patch issues. However, some bugs are actually a pretty cool addition to the game, as this dragon swarm proves!
We May Need Air Traffic Control
Something strange is happening in Azeroth, as players are running into a whole lot of dragons all of a sudden! First spotted by BladeoftheStars7, it seems the skies of the northern part of the Eastern Kingdoms are getting a lot more populated.
While this may look very interesting story-progression and lore-wise, another bug actually explains what’s going on here pretty clearly. As we previously talked about, Zandalar’s Great Seal has been seen hovering over zones for some players! This seems like the same thing that’s happening here, with Dragonflight’s Valdrakken skybox feature migrating over to classic zones. It’s also not happening for all players, or Blizzard already fixed the bug, as we were unable to replicate it.
While this is certainly a bug and not intended, it’s one of those that actually improves things! it would have been nice to get an explanation (even retroactively), but additions like this, even if a little random, truly add to the feeling of the world being alive. The Great Seal floating around all over the place may require at least some explanation, though.
Have you noticed the dragon swarm? What do you think of the addition, intentional or not?
