Update: this issue has been fixed in today’s hotfixes!
It seems Season 5 brought a tricky little bug to Varshan, as players report losing their summoning materials!
The new season brought with it the option to re-summon bosses without having to leave their dungeon. The summoning pillar/receptacle simply re-spawns when the boss is killed. You can put new materials in there to summon another one when it does. It’s an amazing quality of life change that everyone welcomed, but Varshan can be a little greedy with it!
As reported by snoman298, it seems Varshan’s pillar sometimes doesn’t despawn when the fight starts, and that means that when you place your materials in there after it ends, well, nothing will happen. The boss will not be re-spawned and your mats will be gone!
Blizzard’s Adam Fletcher already commented on the issue and said the team is looking into it, so we should be getting a hotfix soon.
