The War Within Early Access begins on August 22 and we’re looking what’s available if you’ve pre-ordered the Epic Edition of the expansion!
How to Unlock Early Access for the War Within Expansion?
Early Access lets you play 3 days before the expansion officially launches. You must pre-purchase the Epic Edition of the expansion for Early Access, which costs $89.99.
Content Available During the War Within Early Access
- The War Within Intro Scenario – You will be able to play through the intro scenario.
- Leveling – You can level up your character from 70 to 80 in Early Access. All campaign and side quests will be available.
- Heroic Talents System – At Level 71, you will unlock your very first Hero Talent point!
- Normal / Follower Dungeons – All normal dungeons are available in Early Access, but Heroic and Seasonal Heroic Dungeons will unlock only after the game fully launches. You’ll get non-upgradeable Item Level 541 gear from dungeons.
- Renown – You can start grinding Renown with four factions, there’s one per zone, the cap is Renown 25. Factions in the War Within are all account-wide from the beginning.
- Professions – Gathering Professions will be available, but Profession weeklies will most likely unlock after the first reset.
- Delves – Only Tier 1-3 Delves will be available in Early Access, dropping Item Level 554 non-upgradeable gear.
Content Not Available in the War Within Early Access
The following content will not be available in Early Access:
- Weekly Quests and World Events – These are expected to unlock after the first reset on August 27 (NA) and August 28 (EU).
- World Events – World Events will most likely be available after the first reset. The War Within adds new events like Theater Troupe at the Isle of Dorn, Spreading the Light event in Hallowfall, Radiant Echoes, and more.
- World Quests – We anticipate world quests to be available after the first weekly reset.
- Season 1 Content – World bosses, the new raid, Heroic and Mythic Dungeons will be unavailable in Early Access.
