Will Skyriding Be Available Immediately in the War Within?
Yes, Skyriding will unlock automatically after you complete the War Within intro scenario, but you’ll need to work on Steady Flight if you prefer that flight mode.
Zone Order
In the War Within expansion, you will level your first character in the following zone order:
- Isle of Dorn
- The Ringing Deeps
- Hallowfall
- Azj-Kahet
The level-up campaign consists of 12 chapters, 3 per zone. You’ll need to complete a lot of side quests to reach Level 80. The campaign only won’t give you enough XP.
After you complete the main campaign, Adventure Mode will become available for alts.
How Much XP is Required to Hit Level 80?
Here are the XP requirements to reach Level 80 in the War Within.
- Level 70: 225105 XP
- Level 71: 247375 XP
- Level 72: 270190 XP
- Level 73: 293540 XP
- Level 74: 317430 XP
- Level 75: 341865 XP
- Level 76: 366835 XP
- Level 77: 392350 XP
- Level 78: 418405 XP
- Level 79: 445000 XP
In total, you will need 2,481,285 XP to reach Level 70.
How Long Does it Take to Go from Level 70 to 80?
It will take between 9 to 10 hours to go from Level 70 to 80 in the War Within.
Alts
Alts can skip the War Within intro scenario and will start with Adventure Mode unlocked in Dornogal.
From there, you will have two options, you can either complete the campaign again and can choose the zone in any order you’d like.
Alternatively, you can level up your character through World Quests, Delves, and Dungeons, completely ignoring the campaign.
MoP Remix Characters
MoP Remix Timewalkers will transfer over to retail when MoP Remix ends on August 19. They will come with a gear boost so they are ready for the War Within! All MoP Remix chars should b available for play when the Early Access begins on August 22.
Warband XP Bonuses
Every Warband member that reaches Level 80 will grant your future characters a stacking +5% buff to XP gains, up to 25% (
Five Warband Mentors: The War Within).
