Well, another big day in the RWF! We had a re-clear, big Ansurek on-stream progress, more dark mode, and an incredible LATE night and pretty daring World 3rd.
An NA Morning
First things first. As you may have noticed in yesterday’s post, just around the time it went up, Silken Court went down for the very first time! Liquid grabbed the World First at the end of their weekly reset, coming in at 171 pulls.
You can check out the full pull and raid composition over here.
This was followed by the most incredibly obvious dark mode use of the race. Moving on to Queen Ansurek, Liquid only did a few pulls off stream, getting the boss down to 83%. But mostly they were just getting some timings and an idea of their strat. This is pretty much the best timing for dark mode, as you don’t want to show anything about the endboss. Plus, with only a short time left in the day, you don’t have to annoy your audience too much.
An EU Afternoon… AND Morning?
Echo spent a lot of time preparing for their reset, almost 5 hours on various Delves, Mythic+ etc. Eventually they and Method went at it again on Silken Court, with Method once again pulling ahead around the 10% mark. However, same as last time, Echo arrived at the finish line quicker, grabbing that World 2nd in the evening. They took 189 pulls to finish the boss up. That’s 18 more than Liquid, but they also spent 47 fewer minutes in combat with the boss.
As they announced in the morning, they went off early. But not before giving us an early look at the Queen Ansurek fight on-stream. After a few live pulls, they then moved on to dark mode off-stream pulls for the final few.
With Liquid re-clearing and doing the usual weekly reset splits and chores, it was just Method doing some serious progress. And serious it was. They managed to get the silken duo down to 1.3% very shortly after their usual stopping time. Well, Method took this very much to heart, as they decided to extend their raid time another hour. And another. And another. And… well, they couldn’t extend any more since it was 3 AM and the EU servers underwent maintenance! You’d think that would be it, the week’s over, maintenance has started right? Wrong.
Miracle at 4 AM
Method decided to stay up and wait for maintenance to end, expecting it to be before the actual weekly reset at 6AM. And so they stood at the login screen waiting for servers to come up. Maintenance was scheduled to last one hour. However, in the complete inverse of NA maintenance from earlier in the day, it ended 20 minutes early! This left Method 2 hours and 20 minutes to down the boss and get to sleep! It took them… 2 pulls. The boss was down to 12% the first time they engaged it after maintenance, at 4AM. And the second, well…
Just for the fun of it they went and pulled Ansurek ONCE and then called it a “night”. A very interesting decision, as they did get that 6th Mythic kill for some Greater Vaults, but whether it was worth extending their day by 4+ hours remains to be seen.
The Rest
We also got a brand new guild on 6/8, as Huoguo Hero got Ky’veza down after an eye-watering 371 pulls. They also managed to get the Court down to 68%, and are currently the only guild progressing on the penultimate boss! Everyone else is still trying to get the Princess down, with JiTianHong only 10% away, FatSharkYes 20, ZboX 22, Instant Dollars 26 and End Myth at 27 percent.
The rest of the day was Liquid’s re-clear, as they 1-shot everything up to Ky’veza with the new gear and the Broodtwister nerf. The princess took a little longer, but only a little. 12 pulls was the total, and while they did have another reset’s worth of gear, they also didn’t have the Vantus rune. Silken Court was looking like a fast one as well, even sub-10 pulls as we saw 3% after only 6. And, well, No.8 was the kill!
Here’s a look at the top 4 guild progress on Silken Court, looking at time spent in combat with the bosses:
The Queen, for Real This Time
While we did see the queen above, those were only the first pulls, meant to test the waters, get timers and generally see what the fight even is. With Liquid getting to her, they already had a strat in mind from back in their dark mode. And so we got to see some bona-fide progress on the final boss!
And here’s a more detailed look at the venom pools and how Liquid deal with them:
So, we got to see the first intermission! Liquid get the boss down to 63.8%, 22 pulls, as their raid day slowly came to a close.
As usual, to see what happens in real-time, you can always check the coverage streams (Liquid, Echo, Method), or head on over to Raider.IO for live text coverage, clips, analysis and more.
