Paragon XP
Rob2628 created a spreadsheet, documenting the most efficient ways of farming Paragon in the ongoing Season, noting that the XP curve needed to reach the next Paragon level exponentially increases at around Paragon Level 250, and to go from 299 to 300, you will need around 1 billion XP.
We only see a few people with Paragon 300 due to how much XP is needed to reach the cap. Here’s how many hours you can expect to reach the Paragon cap with the most ideal way of XP farming:
Infernal Hordes: The Most Chill, But Not Effective Way of Farming XP
Rob argues that Infernal Hordes isn’t the best way of farming XP and the maximum you’re going to get is around 250 million per hour. You would need 3 hours per level using that method, but he says it’s the most “chill” version. You’ll get around half the efficiency you’d get in Pits.
The Pit
The higher tier you complete in the Pit, the more XP you will get. There’s XP from completing the quest and from the pit closing. Here are the exact values taken from Rob’s spreadsheet:
However, mob health goes up by 25% while the XP doesn’t go up by as much, so it’s not worth farming the highest Pits. That’s why Rob recommends running Tier 100-110 pits for efficient XP farming.
