Player Levels to 74 by Collecting Candy Buckets (and Earthen Exploration)

Are you tired of conventional leveling paths? Well, secretninjafox was and came up with a different plan for leveling, using the Earthen exploration buff and Trick or Treating! It’s a pretty cool way to level alts without heavy grinding and relatively quick levels. Though let’s be real, you won’t be setting any speed records here.

Now, Hallow’s End is… well ending very soon, as there’s only a few hours to go. But you can probably still squeeze in an Earthen or two, while getting some holiday currency, so let’s take a look!

Trick or Treating Your Way to Almost Max Level and The Loot That Comes With it

Secretninjafox’s approach focused on collecting Tricky Treat iconTricky Treats from candy buckets throughout Azeroth and Outland. Each new zone discovered grants exploration XP, which is especially beneficial for Earthen characters, due to their Wide-Eyed Wonder iconWide-Eyed Wonder racial. They managed to collect 413 treats in their journey, along with a whole lot of other holiday stuff!

Here are some key tips:

  1. Plan Routes – Start with the zones that have many candy buckets such as Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Outland, and Northrend.
  2. Avoid Flight Path Toys – Items like the Flight Master’s Whistle can auto-explore zones, making you miss out on exploration XP.
  3. Complete Only Necessary Quests – Tackle quests that unlock areas for candy buckets or open new zones.
  4. Entertainment: Since this leveling method can get pretty tedious, secretninjafox suggests putting on a show or podcast to keep things interesting. They managed to watch almost 40 episodes of One Piece during the journey.

Again this may not be super useful after today/a few hours from now, as Hallow’s End ends at 11 AM PDT. But there’s always next year! This strategy might not be the absolute fastest, but it’s a fun, relaxed way to level an Earthen character while revisiting old zones. And while Hallow’s End is soon gone, there are plenty of other “go around and pick stuff up” holidays out there, so keep this method in mind!
