Blizzard shared the roadmap for the next year of Classic during today’s Warcraft Direct stream. We got news on every version of Classic, from Season of Discovery to the current Classic continuation, and even a brand new fresh start!
Mists of Pandaria Classic
As expected, next in line of the main Classic timeline is MoP! We have one more patch of Cataclysm to go, Hour of Twilight coming this winter. After that we’re on to Pandaria in the summer! Well, the pre-patch anyway, with the Monk and Pandaren race becoming available. The actual launch is scheduled for summer 2025 when a new Classic year will begin in earnest.
Season of Discovery Phases 6+
With phase 6 having started yesterday with the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline and the beginning of the Ahn’Qiraj story, we have one more expected phase ahead of us. Naxxramas and Phase 7 are coming around the start of spring 2025. However, while the timed entries stop there, we do see a very interesting note. “New endgame content…”. As part of Phase 7, there will be new Scarlet Crusader and Deadwind Pass content!
A Brand New Classic Cycle
We also got big news on a fresh start for all! Very soon now we’ll be getting a full new cycle of Classic content, starting with the original Vanilla Classic and continuing into Burning Crusade around winter of 2025! Presumably this means that the entirety of the Classic expansions will follow as well. Blizzard also clarified this new cycle includes Hardcore as well and that it all starts on November 21st!
