Recent leaks from the Hexenzirkel group have been shared, showcasing anticipated quality of life (QoL) enhancements in the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 5.5 update. These improvements will most likely help with some gameplay mechanics and address longstanding player feedback, especially regarding Artifacts. The leaks have been shared on the following Reddit Post:
Guaranteed Substats in Artifact Crafting?
One part of the leak revealed that Artifacts generated from consuming Sanctifying Elixir will be guaranteed to receive at least 2 enhancements into chosen minor affixes at max level. The number of guaranteed enhancements are shared between all specified minor affixes. Artifacts generated from consuming Sanctifying Elixir will also be automatically locked, and will have a special mark applied which can be selected in filter options.
This change means a lot regarding Artifacts, as you will finally have some more guarantees to get upgrades on the stats you picked with the Sanctifying Elixir! The fact that they automatically lock after will also prevent you from accidentally salvaging them.
On top of this, enhanced Artifacts will now also be able to be salvaged, with a new filter option: “Do not include enhanced artifacts”.
Additional QoL updates:
Outside the Artifact changes, a few other things will be added or modified during version 5.5 of the game:
- New team wipeout message “Death by burning under golden light”
- Added a shopping cart function in the teapot, allowing for bulk purchasing of decorations
- Able to exit the game directly to desktop
- Artifact overflow (2x artifact rewards event), currently does not include Natlan artifacts, but based on the testers’ list of tasks to be completed, it is speculated that Natlan artifacts will be added after the 26/02 test server update
- Added text to artifact definition
- Only applicable to USA residents: If you are under the age of 13, you will be restricted from using functions related to in-game friends (can be lifted with parental controls) and the ability to change your in-game nickname (includes naming the Traveler in the beginning)
- Ability to search in-game mail by subject or sender (birthday mails only)
- When the game session turns from single-player to multiplayer, it will automatically exit the rhythm game mode, same goes for teapot
While some of those changes do not seem like much, it is still good to see that things are evolving, especially regarding Artifacts. Of course, as with all leaks, it is essential to take this information with caution until official confirmation is provided. Nonetheless, these anticipated changes reflect the developers’ ongoing commitment to listen to community feedback and change things for the better.
