A Windwalker Monk has taken down The Underpin, the new seasonal challenge boss replacing Zekvir in Season 2.
The player, with an item level of 640.93, cleared the fight on Tier ?? difficulty while using Level 39 Brann specced as a healer.
The Underpin: Bugged & Tougher Than Zekvir?
According to Reddit user aerisk, The Underpin is currently bugged on Tier ?? difficulty, introducing a soft enrage around the 7-minute mark. Due to the bugs, the player noted that the boss feels harder than Zekvir right now. However, once the issues are patched, The Underpin should settle into a similar dodge-heavy, add-control fight.
Curios & Strategy Breakdown
For this fight, the player used 
Mechasaur EZ-Build Kit and 
L00T RAID-R curios, though they admitted these had little impact since they didn’t farm better ones.
The key to victory? Positioning and add control!
- Hugging the wall causes adds to spawn in a neat row.
If you fight Underpin here when he summons bombs, they all summon in this small area, and inside the building. He also seems to summon less bombs in the smaller space.

- Kicking bombs into the middle add usually hits all five, making the fight far more manageable.
- Without this strategy, players can find themselves overwhelmed by adds, leading to wipes.
