Version 5.5 New Characters from the Livestream
Listed below is all the new characters releasing in Version 5.5 as showcased on the livestream:
Introducing Varesa a New 5-Star Plunge DPS
Varesa is the new 5-Star of the patch releasing at the start of Version 5.5. Varesa is from the collective of plenty, the new region also available in version 5.5 and a competitive eater.
Varesa in terms of gameplay is an Electro Plunge DPS acting as a DPS and dealing high amounts of plunge damage to easily defeat enemies. Dealing a flying kick down on the ground with incredibly cool animations.
Varesa gains nightsoul points through plunging attacks, she can then use these to enter her “Fiery Passion” state to further increase her damage. Varesa even unleashes a special Elemental Burst after a plunging attack. Her Elemental Burst also allows her to use her mask to deal even more damage!

Varesa Guide and Best BuildsIansan The New 4-Star Bennett?
Iansan is another Electro character releasing in version 5.5 acting more as a support unit instead providing powerful buffs for your party. Iansan is also a 4-Star character.
Iansan gains Nightsoul Points through her Elemental Skill while dashing foreward while her Elemental Burst generates a Kinetic Energy Scale that follows the active character while boosting their attack. The amount of distance is also tracked by the Energy Scale, the more you move the more nightsoul granted to Iansan and therefore the greater the damage buff! Iansan can also heal the party, sounds like an incredibly powerful unit.
New Regions To Explore and Natlan’s Volcano
Version 5.5 comes with the Collective of Plenty, Atocpan and Even Tatankasaurus. Tatankasaur’s are powerful creatures able to break rocks and deal damage while dashing. Tatankasaurs can even dash over water or phlogiston!
Finally, we will be able to explore the volcano and discover all its secrets. The volcano can even erupt! Causing volcanic rain and falling rocks. Be careful during volcanic eruptions! 400 primogems are available from exploring new regions! This will last till patch 5.6.
Version 5.5. Banners
The first banner in Version 5.5 as announced from the livestream features both Varesa and Xianyun. While the second banner features Xilonen and Venti. With so many powerful characters in version 5.5 it can be hard to decide who to pull for!
Iansan will be available on the first half too!
New Story Quests
Varesa’s Tribal Chronicle – Mushroom Realm Mystery
Varesa’s Tribal Chronicle follows the recent trend of providing you with bonus ascension and upgrade materials as long as you complete her questline during the time limit.
Varesa’s questline also does not require you to progress through the whole Natlan story. So make sure to complete this even if your still progressing through Archon Quests!
New Artifact Sets
Version 5.5 Releases 2 new artifact sets:
- Long Night’s Oath
- Finale of the Deep Galleries
With a double drop event also being available in version 5.5 this is the perfect time to farm new artifacts!
New Boss – Lava Dragon Statue
A new world boss the Lava Dragon Statue provides upgrade materials for Varesa and can be found within the newly unlocked regions of 5.5. Version 5.5 also features a new boss tracking system.
New Events in Version 5.5
Tournament of Glory in Bloom
Join Ifa in helping save a very unique Tepetlisaurus using the Tournament of Glory in Bloom. This flagship event has 2 gameplay types. The Bloomflower Trials and Saurian Treasure Seeker.
The Bloomflower Trials is a battle competition between tribes where in some fights you will break through enemies defensive barriers with the offensive gameplay modes while other modes will have you defending instead.
Saurian Treasure Seeker on the other hand is a puzzle minigame where you guide Saurian’s through a maze to collect rewards and avoid traps.
Ororon will be granted for free during this event!
Ororon Guide and Best BuildsQuirky Quaking Arena
Another Co-Op event where you can team up with friends to collect adventure coins as possible and try to gain more points than them. Everyone has a designated character, use their mobility skills to collect coins faster.
Rhythm Ball Meztli
This event has you strike incoming balls with a paddle to strike blocks. Hit the balls tot he beat to defeat the boss. This event grants primogems, talent materials and leveling materials.
Unlimited Fighting Championship
Unlimited Fighting Championship is a combat event with 2 halves. The first half focuses on gaining buffs while the second half is where you fight the boss itself. This fight has crazy multipliers with bosses having 9999 health bars! This event grants primogems, talent materials and leveling materials.
Overflowing Favor
The Overflowing event is back! This time granting double artifact sets this time, this is perfect to be able to farm the new artifact sets releasing in version 5.5.
Other Additional Updates
- Repertoire of Myriad Melodies has been updated to include natlan
- Natlan and Venti score themes will be available
- New envisaged echoes for Venti and Dehya
- TCG Updates with new cards
- Sanctifying Elixir now has a guarantee that at least 2 substat rolls will take place
- Treasure Compass item detection is improved to include more systems such as Monetoos
- Mail System improvements
