With the Weaver Tree soon live in Last Epoch Patch 1.2, players are already trying to figure out the best strategies for leveling through the tree, and one Reddit post in particular is gaining traction for its advice on how to plan your first 25 points.
The Weaver Tree is part of the new Woven endgame faction, coming with Season 2 of Last Epoch.
The post recommends an “econ” route to max-out early Memory Amber and Weaver progress, but the comments quickly turned into a broader theorycrafting thread about XP nodes, Woven Echoes, and how the Weaver Tree interacts with CoF and MG.
Start Left for Memory Amber and Echoes
For your first ~25 points, the post suggests going left from the Weaver Tree starting point:
- Enthralling Bounty: Your echo rewards have a chance to be doubled on completion.
- Entwined Spoils: Your echoes have a chance to spawn with a new reward which grants Woven Echoes.
- Elder Sap: You have a chance for your echoes to spawn with the Memory Amber reward type.
These nodes will boost Memory Amber gain, increase the chance of getting Woven Echoes, and double your echo rewards 20% of the time (Enthralling Bounty 4/4). It is a great setup to snowball into more points quickly.
Then, go north toward the Tomb and Cemetery nodes:
- Grand Catacombs: Tombs of the Erased are more common on your echo web.
- Necropolis of the Weaver: Rare enemies inside your Tombs and Cemeteries have an additional chance to drop Woven Echoes.
- Burial Grounds (for more pack size): Your Tombs and Cemeteries have increased monster pack size.
- Bountiful Sarcophagy (for potential boss uniques): Rare enemies in your Tombs and Cemeteries of the Erased have a small chance to drop that timeline’s boss specific rewards.
- Graveborn Paths: Cemeteries are more common on your echo web.
- Memories of Fortune: You have increased drop rate of Memory Amber in your echoes.

If you are playing MG (Merchant’s Guild trade faction), the two gold bonus nodes south of the starting point (Zerrick’s Aid and Golden Treasures) are also worth grabbing.
XP Rush May Be Stronger for CoF Players
While the econ route is great for boosting Weaver progress, there are also plenty of players who argue that rushing XP nodes on the right side of the tree is better if you are running Circle of Fortune.
- XP = more favor and rank rewards, so CoF players benefit from leveling up quickly.
- XP tomes scale with level, so this strategy becomes even more impactful around Level 80+.
- Blocking non-XP echo rewards can also help funnel your progression more efficiently.
However, it is important to note that this approach may only pay off later in progression and may not be ideal for your very first points unless you are specifically optimizing for CoF favor gain.
Woven Echo Progress Could Be Slow Early On
A few concerns were also raised about how often Cemeteries show up, since you need them to activate Woven Echoes.
- If Cemetery nodes are rare before Empowered Monoliths, Weaver progression could feel gated early on.
- Running Woven Echoes before you face Orobyss is important to get the most out of Gaze-based corruption scaling, which adds yet another layer of planning.
- That said, some Woven Echoe nodes, like Lostwood Folly, could perhaps trigger quite frequently and might end up being great for Memory Amber farming.
Respeccing Is Always an Option
The good news? You can respec your Weaver Tree later. So if you want to go all-in on “econ” first and then change to boss farming or champion nodes later, that is totally viable. Just make sure you are picking what fits your current goals: early progress, faster leveling, or long-term farming.
