There is a huge discussion around Cinderbrew Meadery and the time needed to complete it, considering the other dungeons are way easier – or are they?
Does It Need a Timer Buff?
FarisFromParis is having a hard time with the dungeon. They timed a +14 before, but only with a “giga elite” group. It makes it extremely difficult to time, even with 0 deaths, compared to other dungeons. When you compare it to other dungeons like Darkflame Cleft or even THE MOTHERLODE!!, which are way easier to time than Cinderbrew, the difference is clear.
They’re even pointing out that this is confirmed with statistics: Cinderbrew is the least timed dungeon by a large margin, suggesting that there simply isn’t enough time allocated for it. In their eyes, the fix would be to add a minimum of 2 minutes to the timer.
Could Mob Tuning Be the Real Fix?
Many players agree that the mobs in Cinderbrew Meadery may be the root of the problem. Hobgoblins and the adds they summon are especially frustrating, with their high health making each pull feel like a time sink.
Yes men are particularly annoying – you need to kill them one by one, or they heal to full HP. They just waste a minute or two before the last boss.
There’s a lot you could do to nerf the dungeon. While many are focused on hobgoblins and yes men, no one is really talking about the musclemen or the cook mini-boss, who massively slow down the dungeon. Adding time would help, but a mob HP nerf might be an even better solution.
The Main Problem
A lot of groups simply don’t have enough single-target damage. All the DPS specs are focused on AoE (because there are a lot of AoE mob packs), but when it comes to bosses, there’s just not enough ST throughput.
