It finally dropped. House of Cards, one of the most sought-after trinkets in Liberation of Undermine, hit the floor alongside the One-Armed Bandit! But for Ardicelia, the real nightmare wasn’t over! Because in classic WoW fashion, RNG didn’t just strike once. It struck… TWICE!
Where RNG Takes the Wheel and Runs You Over
Everyone who’s raided knows that sickening mix of hope and dread when loot finally drops! It’s perfect…it’s yours… unless 5 other people also need it!
That’s exactly what happened when House of Cards dropped, but this wasn’t just a normal unlucky roll…

Both Madith and Ardicelia hit the magical 100, and in one of those moments that makes you question the very code of WoW’s loot system, the game handed the trinket to Madith.
Yes, Ardicelia rolled perfectly and still walked away empty-handed, but how is that even possible?
Both Players Roll 100, Then What?
To answer this simple question, we need to look at how the loot system works in the game.
When two players in WoW roll a 100 on the same item, the game uses a tiebreaker system that is completely hidden from players. It’s not exactly a special system, as the game just does another roll for each player, but hides the results. So while you may be perplexed as to why someone with the exact same roll got a piece of loot over you, it’s just that you lost an invisible roll after the first one! Not exactly comforting, is it?
At Least There’s Always Heroic… Right?
Well, at least Ardicelia can still buy the Heroic version of House of Cards from the Puzzling Cartel Chips vendor, right?
