With the release of Genshin Impact Version 5.7 just days away, HoYoverse has officially confirmed maintenance times and opened pre-installation for all supported platforms. Here’s everything you need to know to prepare for the update.
Version 5.7 Maintenance Schedule
Update maintenance is scheduled to begin on June 18, 2025, at 06:00 (UTC+8). The process is expected to last approximately 5 hours, during which time players will not be able to log into the game.
Once maintenance is complete, the servers will reopen and the new content for Version 5.7 will officially go live.
As usual, HoYoverse is offering compensation to players affected by the downtime. Players Adventure Rank 5 or higher will receive 300 Primogems (60 Primogems per hour of downtime). Compensation will be delivered via in-game mail within 5 hours after maintenance ends, but don’t forget to claim it within 30 days or it will expire.
Pre-Installation Now Available
Pre-installation is now available on Mobile (iOS/Android), PC, PlayStation®, and Xbox Series X|S. This allows players to download a portion of the update files early, minimizing wait times on patch day.
How to Pre-Install on Each Platform:
- Mobile (iOS/Android):
Head to the Paimon Menu > Settings > Resources > Pre-Install Resource Package or use the “Pre-Install” button on the login screen. - PC:
Open the Genshin Impact launcher and click the Pre-Install button next to “Start Game” to download update resources early. - PlayStation:
The pre-installation will automatically trigger when launching the game if sufficient storage is available. - Xbox Series
Access the system menu, select Genshin Impact in “My games & apps,” and manually check for updates.
Pre-installation is highly recommended, especially for mobile users, as the new patch requires significant storage space and helps avoid long download waits when the servers go live.
