Toggle Headgear in Cutscenes in Assassin’s Creed Shadows!

A recent update to Assassin’s Creed Shadows added a small but very welcome feature: you can now choose to show your headgear in cutscenes. This means if your character is wearing a hood, helmet, or headband, you can make it visible during dialogue scenes. Many players had asked for this, and now it’s finally here!

How to Toggle the Headgear During Cutscenes

To turn the option on or off, just head into the game settings:

  • Open the settings menu
  • Head to the last tab called “Gameplay”
  • Scroll down until you find “Headgear in Cutscenes”
  • You can toggle it On or Off

However, keep in mind that this won’t work in every situation. Some special scenes, like romance moments or full cinematics, might still remove the headgear automatically.

Be also aware that enabling this may cause a few visual issues such as clipping or animation inconsistencies. While we personally did not have any issue with it so far, just know that, depending on the headgear, it might slightly clip.

Still, it is a nice way to let your character’s look shine, even during key story moments.
