Hysilens is a new character in Honkai: Star Rail, coming in the Version 3.5 launch. She is a 5-star Physical element character playing the role of a sub-DPS on the “Nihility” Path. She is all about boosting team DMG by applying debuffs, while also hitting multiple enemies with strong AoE Physical attacks.
What Abilities and Skills Does Hysilens Possess?
Abilities:
- Basic Attack (Ballard in Still Waters): Deals Physical damage to a single target.
- Skill (Overtone Beyond Undercurrents): Deals AoE Physical damage equal to 140% of her ATK and guarantees a 20% increase in damage taken by all enemies for 3 turns, with the final debuff chance influenced by her Effect Hit Rate and enemies’ Effect Resistance.
- Ultimate (Dance of Raging Tides and Devoured Souls): Lowers enemies ATK by 15% and DEF by 25%. Deals AoE Physical damage equal to 300% of her ATK, and applies a Physical DoT that triggers up to 8 times when enemies take DoT damage within the zone, which lasts 3 turns or until Hysilens is knocked down.
- Technique (Oceanic Abode): Hysilens’s technique creates a zone that charms enemies lasting for 20 seconds, making them follow her and applies two debuffs with high chance while active.
Choosing the Perfect Light Cone for Hysilens
Solo
Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 40%. When the wearer hits an enemy target with Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, has a 80% base chance to inflict “Enthrallment” state for 3 turn(s). Effects of the same type cannot stack. While in “Enthrallment” state, each debuff applied by the wearer increases DoT taken by 5%, stacking up to 6 time(s). When attacked by an ally target, increases the attacker’s SPD by 10% for 3 turn(s).
Light Cone:
Her best Light Cone, “Why Does the Ocean Sing” provides increased Effect Hit Rate. When an enemy is attacked there is an 80% chance that “Enthrallment” will be inflicted for a total of 3 turns therefore each debuff applied will increase DoT taken by 5% for up a total of 6 times. In addition, SPD is increased when attacked by an ally target.

Hysilens is a solid Sub-DPS option excelling at dealing DoT damage and making enemies more vulnerable to your team’s attacks. She is a great pick if you want to ramp up damage over time and keep pressure on groups of enemies.
