Players have been a little confused about the currently ongoing event. This week’s reset was supposed to bring the Greedy Emissary event and the Collector’s Bounty buff with it. The buff was supposed to be auto-active and players were supposed to be able to deactivate and activate it again at innkeepers. However, no such buff appeared on server resets.
Blizzard Clarifies
To some it was pretty clear: the buff was on, as they were getting tons of loot and mount drops all over the place. However, others weren’t quite so sure. Luckily, Blizzard stepped in and clarified what was going on. It seems the buff was indeed active, but was not showing up as an active in-game buff on bars.
The issue has been fixed since then, as the buff is now fully visible:
