With Collector’s Bounty raging through Warcraft, players are heading to old expansions constantly. And with those dozens and hundreds of raid and dungeon clears come many, many old items. Now, we’ve already covered an addon that helps you vendor specific types of items, Dejunk, but what about those items you actually want to keep? They still add up to a huge mess but once again, the WoW community’s got you covered! This addon helps sort all those items by expansion and sort your bags and bank!
Item Era
An addon that might be helpful outside of Collector’s Bounty as well, Item Era marks items based on their expansion of origin. Klaufel shared their work, as each item has an expansion-specific color and text in its tooltip, so you immediately know where they’re from. There’s also a filtering option for your bags and bank, with highlights for the expansion selected as well.
It’s a great item for transmog collectors (and aren’t we all during Collector’s Bounty) and anyone who just can’t bear to get rid of some special older expansion stuff! So head on over to CurseForge and download the addon.
The addon is still being worked on, of course, and it seems Blizzard’s API has some issues recognizeing the source of some items. Here’s what Klaufel had to say:
“There are some problems when retrieving information from some objects, it’s an issue originating from the Blizzard API, as in some cases it doesn’t return the source of an item correctly. I ran into this problem during development and testing of the addon. I will work to correct these problems and improve the experience, thank you very much for the feedback, I take it into account 🙂
