All Rogue Changes Coming in Diablo 4 Season 9 (Patch 2.3.0)

Today, we’re looking at all the Rogue changes planned to go live in the Diablo 4’s Season 9.

Rogue Skill Changes

  • PuncturePuncture: Damage increased from 21% to 45%.
  • HeartseekerHeartseeker: Damage increased from 24% to 50%.
  • Forceful ArrowForceful Arrow: Damage increased from 33% to 50%.
  • Invigorating StrikeInvigorating Strike: Damage increased from 45% to 65%.
  • Blade ShiftBlade Shift: Damage increased from 30% to 45%.
  • Enhanced Dance of KnivesEnhanced Dance of Knives:
    • Meters required to gain charges increased from 30 to 34.
    • Requires more movement speed to maintain infinite uptime.
  • Supreme Death TrapSupreme Death Trap:
    • Damage to enemies who resist pull reduced from 180% to 60%.
    • Now properly damages Unstoppable enemies.
    • Deals double damage instead of an extra hit from Rank 5 pull.
  • Improved FlurryImproved Flurry:
    • Now heals 10% of max life over 1.5s instead of instantly.
  • Subverting ConcealmentSubverting Concealment:
    • Now grants 4 seconds of guaranteed Critical Strikes instead of just one skill.
    • Enemies made Vulnerable for 3 seconds instead of 6.

Rogue Passive Changes

  • Close Quarters CombatClose Quarters Combat:
    • Damage to Close enemies reduced from 25% to 10%.
    • Overall bonus now capped at 90%.
  • PrecisionPrecision: Damage bonus capped at 360%.
  • Alchemical AdmixtureAlchemical Admixture:
    • Elemental bonuses (Cold, Poison, Shadow) reduced from 40% to 12%.
    • Potency bonus capped at 150%.
  • VictimizeVictimize:
    • Vulnerable damage reduced from 150% to 20%.
    • Base damage increased from 60% to 90%.
    • Overall bonus now capped at 300%.

Rogue Legendary Aspect Changes

  • Energizing Aspect:
    • Basic Skill hits now always generate 6 Energy (up from 4 on Elites only).
    • Elite kills now restore 10–30 Energy (down from 45 max).
  • Infiltrator’s:
    • Poison Traps no longer break Stealth or trigger cooldown while stealthed.
    • Cooldown begins after exiting Stealth.
    • Cooldown reduction increased to 10–50%.
    • Reclassified as a Utility aspect.
  • Cheat’s Aspect:
    • Now grants 5–15% Damage Reduction and 10% Movement Speed.
    • Both bonuses double when under 50% max life.
  • Of Volatile Shadows:
    • Now triggers a large Shadow explosion every 10s on Imbued skill hit.
    • Explosion applies Shadow Imbuement and deals Shadow damage based on skill rank.
  • Aspect of Bursting Venoms:
    • Now creates Poison Traps instead of toxic pools.
    • Requires Poison Trap to be equipped.
  • Of the Dark Dance:
    • Damage bonus is now multiplicative instead of additive.

Rogue Unique Item Changes

  • Eaglehorn:
    • Penetrating Shot now always bounces off walls.
    • Damage bonus adjusted to 40–80% (was 50–150%).
  • Eyes in the Dark:
    • Next Death Trap deals 100–200% more damage and rearms.
    • Now has a 10-second cooldown between triggers.

Rogue Paragon Changes

  • Danse Macabre:
    • Now grants 30% damage for 10s after using a Mobility or Subterfuge skill.
  • Tricks of the Trade:
    • Now makes enemies hit by Marksman skills take 30% more from Cutthroat, and vice versa.
  • Eldritch Bounty:
    • Each equipped Imbuement skill grants 3% Max Resistance and 30% damage for its element.

Rogue Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where Crown of Lucion’s damage bonus did not apply during Inner Sight.
  • Fixed bug with Preparation cooldown reduction stacking incorrectly with Beastfall Boots.
