Etheria: Restart just launched today, and if you already played a few hours, you probably have gathered up to 40 pulls for the beginner banner by now! This banner is rather special as it allows you to pick from a large pool of characters. Once you selected the one you want, you only need 40 pulls to get that one. This banner is a one time use, so make sure you select the one you really want.
The first thing to keep in mind is that you are the one who plays the game, so if there is one character you really like, even if it’s just for the design, pick that one. You will have to play with it, so it is not worth ruining your fun, just to get the most powerful character.
It is also important to note that you do not have to pull on this banner. You can first pull on the Standard banner until your first SSR drops, and depending on who you obtained, you can then pick your selected character. This at least allows you to not get a double on your first standard pulls. The selector will not leave until you pulled 40 times on it, so don’t rush it.

First of all, Lingluo is not recommended to select on the beginner banner. She is an S-Tier character, but you do get her for free already after 7-days.

Beginner Banner Selector Tier List
The following Tier-List is based on the latest update. This tier-list ranks characters compared to the overall generic content. It is neither specific to PvP nor PvE. However, any S-Rank character will easily get you through all the content of the game.
The characters are classified depending on their role, how well they do in it, their overall use, and how they compete against other similar characters.
While Tiamat has received some nerfs before launch, she still ranks the highest and should be your top priority. Overall they are all worth it, however C-Tier characters are simple more niche than the others.
