Diablo IV Patch Notes
We will continually update this article with all patches the development team implements for Diablo IV.
Chaos Rifts & Infernal Hordes
- Chaos Wave nerfs: Reduced damage and removed stacking debuffs for Chaos Portals to make rifts more manageable.
- Nightmare Dungeon rewards: Chaos Rift affixes now grant better loot.
- Infernal Hordes updates:
- Fewer Chaos Waves per run, now more unpredictable.
- Spirit Chaos Wave ghosts are more responsive.
- Aether gains rebalanced for fairer rewards.
- Chaos Rifts in Lunatic Siege drop more Aether, with closing rifts potentially spawning additional ones.
Chaos Armor Gets Even More Chaotic
- Visually distinct from normal uniques.
- Bartuc now drops more Chaos Armor at higher Torment Tiers.
- Chaos Armor world drops are now an extra reward, not a replacement.
- New Season 10 sets added for every class:
Chaos Perks & Class Updates
- General buffs:
- Crazy Brew cooldown up but duration increased.
- Overpower, Alternating Alterations, and Chaotic Burst bonuses increased.
- Barbarian: Single Minded Fury, Deafening Chorus buffs; more damage, life, and overpower chance.
- Druid: Purge the Infected damage buff, Savagery and Overabundance reworked.
- Necromancer:
Bone Storm duration nerfed,
Army of the Dead stronger, Grim Reapers reworked.
- Rogue: Enervated Strikes and Chaotic Grenades boosted.
- Sorcerer: Explosive Combinations nerfed slightly, Mana Shield triggers faster, ultimate skills now benefit fully from upgrades.
- Spiritborn:
Rampant Crushing Hand,
Payback,
Concussive Stomp, and Thorns damage massively buffed.
Balance & Item Adjustments
- All classes: Tempering, Lucky Hit, and Ultimate resource gains adjusted.
- Unique items & legendary aspects:
- Sabre of Tsasgal,
Hellhammer,
Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty, and
Esadora’s Overflowing Cameo reworked.
- Spiritborn and class-specific legendaries buffed.
- Sabre of Tsasgal,
- Paragon nodes: Increased bonuses for many classes, improving damage and utility.
Infernal Hordes & Aether Adjustments
- Chaos Waves: Reduced spawn frequency, more unpredictable, rare types introduced.
- Aether balance: Base Aether from events increased. Aetheric Masses reworked to improve reliability.
- Soulspires: Better Aether rewards, reworked multipliers, renamed and rebalanced offerings.
- Fiends, Lords & Hellborne: Rare and Legendary offerings adjusted for more exciting runs.
- Miscellaneous:
- Burning Butcher stronger but no longer invulnerable.
- Bartuc uses new shield mechanics.
- Champion monsters removed.
With new Chaos Armor, reworked perks, and Infernal Hordes improvements, builds will feel newer, faster, and more rewarding than ever. You can be a Barbarian smashing through rifts or a Sorcerer zapping through hordes, these changes will bring a lot of fun for Season 10!
