Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot just hit a major milestone. Bandai Namco has confirmed that the action RPG has now sold over 10 million copies worldwide, nearly six years after its original release. Not bad at all for a game that keeps finding new players long after launch.
Originally released in January 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Kakarot later made its way to Switch, Stadia (yes … Google Stadia), and current-generation consoles. Over time, steady updates, next-gen upgrades, and story DLC helped keep the game relevant, especially for fans who wanted a more story-driven Dragon Ball experience rather than yet another beat ’em up fighting game.
However, that is not all! Next to the sales update, Bandai Namco also teased that “the journey is not over yet,” and that message is probably much more than just marketing talk.
New DAIMA DLC Launches This Week
The second part of the DAIMA: Adventure Through the Demon Realm DLC arrives on January 15, continuing the storyline inspired by the upcoming Dragon Ball DAIMA project. Although details remain limited, this expansion pushes Kakarot into completely new territory rather than simply revisiting familiar Dragon Ball Z arcs.

That ongoing support is likely a big reason why the game keeps selling. Instead of being left behind, Kakarot continues to grow with new content, which is giving longtime players a reason to return and newcomers an easy entry point into the Dragon Ball universe.
