Elden Ring- Nightreign Update Adds Solo Play Buffs in Patch 1.02!

Elden Ring: Nightreign is getting a new update next week, and if you’re playing solo, there’s good news. Patch 1.02 will bring major improvements for single-player expeditions, and this includes a powerful new survival effect and more runes per run.

The information was just released on the official Elden Ring twitter/X accounts. You can take a look at the post here:

Nightreign Patch 1.02 – Solo Expedition Changes

Patch 1.02 will launch next week, bringing several bug fixes and improvements to solo play. The full patch notes will arrive with the update, but two major changes have already been confirmed:

  • Automatic Revival Upon Defeat
    • Solo players will now get one free revival during each night boss battle. This new passive effect makes solo runs more forgiving, especially when facing tougher end-of-night encounters.
  • Increased Rune Gains
    • Rune rewards in solo expeditions will be boosted, making it easier to level up and improve your build without needing co-op partners.

The update is scheduled for next week, though no specific day or time has been given yet. FromSoftware says full patch notes will follow soon.

Besides the solo buffs, Patch 1.02 will also include bug fixes, but no details on those have been shared yet. We’ll keep you updated once the full list is live.
