Our updated Genshin Impact Tier List for Version 5.8 is now live! This version released today on July 30. One new characters, Ineffa, may have messed up the meta, leading to some big changes in rankings.
We have updated our tier list to reflect the current state of the game. This includes Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater, and general high-level content. If you are looking for the best Main DPS, Sub-DPS, or Support, our tier list helps you find the strongest characters for your team.
How the Tier List Works
- Characters are ranked from S+ (top-tier) to D (least viable).
- Each character is rated based on performance in late-game content, including damage output, ease of use, team synergy, and elemental utility.
- Some characters may appear in multiple roles due to their flexibility.
What’s New in 5.8
Her full potential won’t unlock until Version 6.0, but Ineffa already shows a ton of flexibility and value in early testing. With high expectations and decent performance in current teams, we are giving her a giving her already a high spot in the Tier List.
HoYoverse is clearly setting the stage for Nod-Krai and the other upcoming characters with Ineffa.
Sadly, with time and all the new systems and characters, some older ones are starting to drop, as by now there are just more viable and useful ones to use.
- Xingqiu takes a small hit this time. With Yelan continuing to outperform him in most teams while offering similar utility.
- Zhongli is still a great unit for survivability, but is slowly being edged out by newer supports who offer both sustain and offensive synergy.
