Genshin Impact’s Version Luna IV is launching this Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, and with it comes a full new set of character banners spread across two phases. If you have been saving for a while or you are just curious who is worth pulling for, here is a quick breakdown of what is coming and who the new faces are.
Luna IV Phase I
Version Luna IV starts on January 14th and will run until February 3rd, 2026. This version kicks off with two limited 5-star banners running side by side, both sharing the same boosted 4-star lineup.
Columbina – Somnias a Luna
Columbina finally makes her long-awaited appearance as a playable character. She has been on players’ radar for a while, and you can finally pull for her!
Columbina is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst with good buffs for Lunar-Reaction focused teams, AoE Hydro application, and high damage capabilities without being on-field constantly.

Running alongside Columbina is Ineffa on the rerun banner, who provides a lot of off-field damage, shielding, and buffs for your party.

As usual, Test Run stages will be available so you can try the characters before committing your Primogems.
Phase II Banners
Phase II is where Lantern Rite will really kick in, with a new Adeptus and a new 4-star joining the lineup. This Phase will start on February 3rd and end on February 24th, 2026.
Zibai – Harmonious Abundance
Zibai is one of the big surprises of Luna IV and a new 5-star Geo character linked closely to Liyue’s mythology.
According to in-game lore, Zibai is an Adeptus known as the White Horse, a figure that appears across legends, poems, and folktales. Some stories say she once helped Rex Lapis during the Archon War, and others claim she watches over the world from the moon itself, listening to mortal wishes.
Zibai is a main DPS character who focuses on the Lunar-Crystallize reaction. For more information about her, you can check out our in-depth guide, build, and teams for Zibai!
Running alongside Zibai is the return of Neuvillette as well, offering you another chance to pull for the Hydro Dragon!
On top of that, both Phase II banners feature:
- Illuga (Geo) – New 4-star Geo character, and a young member of the Lightkeepers, serving as a Ratnik. He is the adoptive son of Nikita, the current Starshyna. He supports Nod-Krai teams and deals damage with the Lunar-Crystallize reaction
- Aino (Hydro)
- Gorou (Geo)
After Phase II ends, Illuga will be added to the standard banner in the next version as well.
All banners in Version Luna IV share the usual wish guarantee rules, so pity carries over as expected. With Columbina finally playable, Zibai entering the story, and Illuga joining as well, Luna IV feels like a very interesting update!
