With Genshin Impact’s fifth anniversary right around the corner, fans are buzzing with excitement to see what surprises the developers have planned. So, what can players look forward to this year, especially with the launch of the new region Nod-Krai?
The Usual Rewards
As with every year, Genshin Impact’s anniversary includes the familiar cumulative check-in event. Over seven days, players can snag up to 10 Intertwined Fates, 8 Hero’s Wit, and 80,000 Mora. This time, there’s also a new twist: one Dust of Enlightenment. This item lets you adjust the minor stats on a fully leveled 5-star artifact. That’s all for the check-in itself, but don’t worry, there’s more coming!
On September 28th, the official anniversary date, players will also receive a special in-game mail packed with goodies: 1,600 Primogems, 2 Fragile Resin, 1 Sanctifying Elixir, and two brand-new gadgets. The first, the Ujola Cat, works like a Seelie companion but in robot form. The second is the Rotor Hovering Daybed, a co-op-friendly gadget that lets players sit together anywhere in the world, perfect for cozy hangouts or snapping fun photos.
Between the check-in event and the anniversary mail, you’ll walk away with 20 Intertwined Fates in total. Whether you’re eyeing the Version 6.0 banners or saving for future characters, it’s a solid boost.
And, as with past anniversaries, the initial top-up bonus reset is making a return after the update. If you’ve been waiting to top up on Primogems, now’s the time to cash in.

On top of that, players will get the chance to pick a free 5-star character from the Standard Wish lineup. The pool includes Diluc, Keqing, Qiqi, Tighnari, Dehya, Mona, and the newest addition, Yumemizuki Mizuki. Since Mizuki was only recently added to the standard roster, this is the perfect chance to add her to your team.
More Rewards!
If things ended there, this anniversary would feel pretty familiar. However, during the recent Version Special Program, HoYoverse revealed a brand-new event, not strictly tied to the anniversary, but still a major reason to celebrate.
The event, To Temper Thyself and Journey Far, introduces an all-new progression system with some significant rewards on the line. We’ve broken down the details in a separate article, but here’s the quick version: it works like an extended event pass that rewards consistent play across multiple versions. By keeping up with daily commissions and spending resin, you’ll eventually unlock a free 5-star constellation, up to four per year if you stay consistent.
Here’s the full list of characters available through this event:

So, to sum it up, during Genshin’s upcoming anniversary, you’ll get:
- 10 Intertwined Fates, and other rewards through the cumulative check-in event
- 1,600 Primogems via the in-game mail
- Character’s constellation via the new To Temper Thyself and Journey Far event
During the Version Special Program, it was also revealed that a special video will be released on September 28 to celebrate the anniversary, so be sure to check it out. And if you’re looking for other Genshin news, keep an eye on our news for the latest updates!
