Genshin Impact’s latest Version Special Program came packed with surprises, including our first real look at the upcoming UGC feature: Miliastra Wonderland. If you enjoyed building and creating in the Serenitea Pot, this new mode is set to take that experience to the next level.
Creativity Is Key!
We’ve already broken down the core mechanics of Genshin’s UGC in a previous article. So, let’s keep it brief here: players will build their own worlds from scratch. Think of it as a massive sandbox where you and your friends can create just about anything your imagination allows.
With the latest trailer, though, we finally get a sense of just how big this project really is. And honestly, it’s mind-blowing.
The first standout is avatar customization, which looks equal parts goofy and amazing. From what we’ve seen, you won’t be stepping in as the usual Genshin characters like Ineffa or Flins. Instead, you’ll design your own character with options for clothing, skin tone, and accessories. This system also ties directly into monetization. Players will be able to pull for new outfits and cosmetics, making fashion a key part of the UGC experience.

The biggest takeaway from the trailer, though, is the sheer variety of game modes on display. I definitely recommend watching it to see it all in action, but here are a few highlights. First up, there’s a Monopoly-style board game starring your avatar, followed by a fast-paced cooking mini-game that feels ripped straight from Overcooked.
We also catch a glimpse of tower defence gameplay, which could be an evolved version of Genshin’s familiar Theatre Mechanicus event. Then, out of nowhere, a full-on soccer match appears, something I never thought I’d see in this game. Right after that, the trailer shifts into an obstacle race mode.
But it’s the final two game modes that really caught me off guard.
MOBA and Shooter in Genshin?!
Yep, you read that right. Miliastra Wonderland is even diving into genres like MOBAs and third-person shooters. Seeing those kinds of mechanics pop up in Genshin’s universe is a pretty wild twist.

Both of these pictures are extracted from the trailer, so don’t forget to take a look to see for yourself.
In the first image, we see the player’s avatar pushing a turret with backup from Hilichurls acting as minions—a setup any MOBA fan will instantly recognise. And for shooter enthusiasts, the second shot says it all: the player is firing a bow at what appears to be another player. It’s reminiscent of games like SMITE.
Most of us expected Miliastra Wonderland to lean into party-style mini-games, but these two modes definitely came as a surprise.
And that’s not all: the trailer also teases a train game, a Plants vs. Zombies-style defence mode, Bomberman-inspired chaos, and plenty more.
When Can I Play Miliastra Wonderland?

Alongside the trailer, the end of Genshin’s Version Special Program also featured a segment on Miliastra Wonderland. The trailer also revealed that the first Open Beta for Miliastra Wonderland will arrive with Version “Luna II.” Based on the naming pattern we saw with Nod-Krai, the launch window is likely to be around late October.
From that point on, the developers plan to share regular updates on the mode’s progress leading up to its full release.
While we already had some details about this UGC beforehand, the new trailer completely shook up the conversation. And the community is more excited than ever to see where it goes next.
If you’re creative enough, the possibilities are endless in Miliastra Wonderland, so keep an eye on our news for the latest updates!
