It seems that even after the latest patch, players are having trouble getting all the Season 1 objectives done!
Many players have been reporting not receiving credit for opening regular non-Mystery chests in Helltides for the seasonal objectives. The chest opening just doesn’t register. As the recent patch did not fix the issue, we’ll have to wait for another hotfix pass.

Luckily these aren’t a required to complete the Chapters, as there’s extra objectives, but there are those that want to 100% the Season Journey.
