How to Play FFXIV Mobile in English or Other Languages
If you’re not a native Chinese Warrior of Light, that’s alright! The English community at r/FFXIV_Mobile learned how to change the language settings for any device.
But first, did you install FFXIV Mobile on your device yet? Whether it’s Android, iOS, or even an emulator 👀, you can download from FFXIV Mobile’s official site! Feel free to read the translated device and storage requirements here!
Now, I don’t need to tell you how to create an account using WeChat or QQ! But I hear there is a helper over at the community’s Discord… If you’ve been having difficulties, why not try there? Remember to be respectful if you ask for advice!

FFXIV Mobile Cracks Down on Botting and Anti-Cheats
If you’ve played FFXIV Mobile since launch, you know there’s a serious botting problem. Many of them flood the early main scenario quest locations with their awkward pathing, and somehow infiltrated duties as well? It’s not to say the auto-pathing in FFXIV Mobile is any different, but you can definitely tell the difference between a bot and a player!
Well thankfully, FFXIV Mobile see your complaints! Over on Bilibili, they published an article listing all of the bots that they have banned so far. Even though the game is currently free to play, the amount of banned accounts is quite a feat to look at. If you’re concerned about your account standing, you can look up your World and obscured Character Name on the given list.
This list published after the FFXIV Mobile EN Discord discovered how to play in English. But thankfully, it seems most overseas players have survived the first ban wave.
Remember to stay vigilant! If the developers decide to enforce a regional lockdown, it’ll be a lot harder to continue playing. They’ve already looked into players who use AFK scripts, after all! Make sure to keep your account tidy, Warriors of Light!
How to Prepare for The Coils of Bahamut
If you’ve raided in Final Fantasy XIV for a while, you’ve certainly heard of The Coils of Bahamut! The first raid series was introduced back in A Realm Reborn, and now it’s returning to FFXIV Mobile in early July! We even have an Ultimate Raid in FFXIV dedicated to Bahamut too!
The Binding Coil of Bahamut (Normal) raid series releases this Wednesday, July 2nd, at 05:00:00 (UTC+8). The Savage Raids, also known as The Binding Coil of Bahamut (Type Zero), release the following week, on Wednesday, July 9th at 05:00:00 (UTC+8).
While there are no known changes so far, players in FFXIV normally need to meet the following requirements to unlock The Binding Coil of Bahamut:
- Level 50 on a Disciple of War or Magic Job
- Successfully complete The Navel (Hard)
Obtain Your Best-in-Slot and Materia Today!
After completing the main scenario quests for A Realm Reborn, what’s left to do? Why not try a new job, and perhaps get the best-in-slot gear and materia for the job you like best?
FFXIV Mobile has Experience Boosters and a free Level Boost item available, so surely it’s easy to level up a new job or two. Once you’re set on a job you like, you can farm Allagan Tomestones of Poetics and exchange them for gear in Mor Dhona. This is the current best-in-slot for now, Warriors of Light!

How to Complete The Navel (Hard)
If you haven’t experienced The Navel (Hard) yet, better finish your main scenario quests! This is a fairly difficult duty to complete, so you’ll need all the help you can get. Why not grab a few friends to try the duty out? You can also queue into The Labyrinth of Ancients alliance raid for some better gear, but this won’t beat any best-in-slot from Poetics!
