If you’re looking to show off your style in Elden Ring: Nightreign, be ready for a challenge. Unlike the original Elden Ring, customization isn’t available from the start. However, here’s how you can unlock the option, and what skins you can get!
How to Unlock the Outfit Menu
To change your outfit, you’ll need to complete two full expeditions first. Keep in mind that you have to complete the two expeditions fully. If you die early, it won’t count. Once both are done, a new menu option appears: “Change Garb.”

Simply select it, and you will be able to pick among the available outfits.
The First Skins You Can Get
When you unlock the outfit menu, you can switch outfits, if you have some of course. You can earn or buy the following different outfits for the time being:
Outfit | Description | How to Get It |
---|---|---|
Default Outfit | Your character’s standard look | Equipped by default |
Dawn Outfit | A different look for your class | Costs 14,000 Murk (in-game currency) |
Darkness Outfit | A second alternative skin | Costs 35,000 Murk (in-game currency) |
Free alternate skins for each Character | Alternate standard look skins | Take their Remembrances by reading the Journal in the room next to the Roundtable Hold |
Two Throwback Outfits for each Class | Outfits that reference previous games in the Dark Souls series | Defeat the final Nightlord and return to the mirror, you can buy each skin for 7500 Murk |
It is important to note that you earn Murk by playing. So even if you don’t spend real money, you can still unlock new looks over time.
More outfits will become available as you progress and complete more runs. Keep playing, earn Murk, and show off your favorite style once you’ve proven yourself.
