Some Monster Hunter Wilds players have reported being unable to complete the Main Mission 5-1: “Omens” if they had already reached the Hunter Rank (HR) cap before starting the quest. The mission objective “Investigate the regions and raise your HR” appeared impossible to complete in these cases.
How to Complete the Mission Even at HR Cap
Capcom has confirmed that your HR does not actually need to increase to complete the mission. Instead, you just need to earn a certain amount of Hunter Rank Points to progress.
Here is how to get it done:
- Completing around 8 Optional Quests should be enough to fulfill the requirement.
- Side Missions also grant a large amount of HR points and can help complete the mission faster.
Capcom also acknowledged that the mission description was not very clear and apologized for the confusion. So, if you were stuck on Chapter 5-1, try running a few Optional or Side Missions to progress.
