Monster Hunter Wilds is just hours away from launch, officially releasing on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). If you want to be ready the moment servers go live, here is everything you need to know about pre-loading the game and claiming rewards through Twitch!
MH Wilds Pre-Load Now Live – Download Early & Play Instantly
Good news! Pre-loads for Monster Hunter Wilds are now available across all platforms. If you have already pre-ordered the game, you can start downloading it right now and be ready to hunt the moment it launches.
Why pre-load?
- Start playing instantly when the game goes live.
- Avoid server congestion or slow download speeds at release.
- Have everything set up ahead of time for a better launch experience.
Since file sizes can be huge, it’s best to start the download as soon as possible, especially if you have a slower connection. Also, don’t forget to check for any pre-launch updates or patches that may drop before release.
Twitch Drops & Rewards
Capcom has also announced a “Support a Streamer” event on Twitch, through which you can earn in-game rewards by subscribing to participating streamers.
Here is how it works:
Gift or buy a Twitch subscription (any tier) to streamers in the Monster Hunter Wilds category between February 27 and March 20 to receive a Hunter Help: Assistance Pack with useful items.

- 5x Sharp Fin
- 5x Large Barrel Bomb
- 2x Shock Trap
- 5x Slinger Flash Pod
- 3x Demon Powder
Reward Distribution Schedule (Make sure to claim on the right week!):
- PlayStation: February 27, 9:00 PM PT – March 6, 8:59 PM PT
- Steam: March 6, 9:00 PM PT – March 13, 8:59 PM PT
- Xbox: March 13, 9:00 PM PT – March 20, 8:59 PM PT
Important:
- You can only redeem one code per platform.
- Codes expire on February 27, 2026.
- Prime subs and recurring sub renewals are not eligible for this promotion.

How to Redeem Your Code
Once you receive your Twitch reward, here is how to redeem it on your platform:
- PlayStation:
- Open the PlayStation Store and click your profile.
- Select Redeem Code from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the 12-digit code and select Continue.
- Steam:
- Open the Steam client and log in.
- Click Games > Activate a Product on Steam.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to redeem.
- Xbox:
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Store, then Redeem.
- Enter the 25-character code and follow the prompts.
