Capcom has officially announced that the first free Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds which is scheduled to release on April 4, 2025. This update introduces a variety of new content, including deadly monsters, a new Hub, and seasonal Events! However, this also means we get brand New Gear, and it looks amazing! Here is how your Hunter and your Palico can look soon!

Mizutsune Crafted Gear

The long-awaited bubbly monster Mizutsune is, of course, making its return with the First Title Update. Defeating it will grant you the monster parts needed for the following gear sets for you and your Palico:

In order to get this gear, you will have to first access the monster. You need to be at least Hunter Rank 21 to be able to get the quest from Kanya at the Scarlet Forest‘s Base Camp. After that, complete your first Mizutsune Hunt, and then you will be able to farm for it. The amount of materials needed are unknown for the time being, but it should not be too different from for the other monsters.

Arch-Tempered Rey Dau Event Gear

With the new title update, you will also be able to encounter a new type of monster: Arch-tempered monsters. Those are similar to normal tempered monsters, but they will be more powerful, so don’t go in unprepared! The first one is Rey Dau, and defeating him will grant you the materials needed to craft the Rey Dau Gamma gear, and the Feline Rey Dau Gamma for your Palico:

It is important to know that the Arch-tempered Rey Dau will only be available during an event quest. This means you will have to farm him during that specific time frame if you want the gear sets for you and your Palico. You will have to be at least Hunter Rank 50 to be able to take on this Event quest.

Zoh Shia Crafted Gear Set

Zoh Shia will be added as a repeatable hunt! Once you completed a specific quest, you will be able to farm Zoh Shia and get the monster parts needed to craft this new gear set for your Hunter and Palico:

In order to unlock it as a repeatable hunt, you need to reach Hunter Rank 50. This will give you access to a specific mission. After the quest is completed, you can select Zoh Shia through the environment overview. Zoh Shia will appear during the Wyvern’s Wakening in the Ruins of Wyveria. You can turn the quest into an investigation as well.
