New Class Quests in The War Within Add Immersion and Class Acknowledgment – Here’s What You Need to Know!

Did you know there are actually new class-specific side quests in the War Within, adding some welcome class acknowledgment and deepening the lore? Well, there are!

After Dragonflight, the War Within seems to have continued with class quests. For those of you who remember the ooold Paladin Charger quest or Death Knights’ quest chain, they’re not quite like that.

These seem to be more like short side stories. They basically show up for specific classes where you get acknowledged for what you play. Some are even based on what your source of power is! There are also prerequisites with different dialogues that lead to the class-specific ones.

Class Acknowledgment

There were a few class quests in Dragonflight, like The Best Spell Ever for Mages, and One Step Backwards for Evokers. Eight of them were spotted in the War Within (for now) seven of which are in the Ringing Deeps.

A good example of what these quests are is Prove One’s Mettle, only available to characters with void powers. The prerequisite quest, Suspicious Minds, has an altered dialogue for them, referencing their meddling with darkness. Another one is A Shadow Over Gundargaz.

Rogues spotted three of them, all involving a theft of candles for some shady kobolds, which is quite fitting. The last three are Conjured Help, Bless These Homes, and Evoking the Forge, available to Mages, Paladins/Priests, and Evokers.

Here’s the Bless These Homes in action, as Paladins get to protect Gundargaz with some holy incense!

Class acknowledgement is always a great thing and add a lot of immersion to the game. So hopefully, these types of quests will continue and perhaps evolve to some beefier ones, like the classics of old which are still available in Classic WoW.
