Elden Ring: Nightreign Co-Op

Nightreign Sells 2M Copies, Solo Buffs Coming in Patch 1.02

So far, it seems that community sentiment about Elden Ring: Nightreign is rather mixed. However, if there is one fact that cannot be denied, it is that Nightreign is off to a huge start! According to Bandai Namco, the game has already sold over 2 million copies in just one day – and that is not even counting physical shipments in some regions!

And although there are many players who are already loving the new “co-op” systems, a big part of the community has been asking for solo improvements – and FromSoftware is listening.

Patch 1.02 Will Make Solo Play Less Brutal

FromSoftware is rolling out Patch 1.02 next week, and it directly targets the solo experience for players taking on Nightreign alone. Two big changes are on the way:

  • You will auto-revive once per Nightlord fight when playing solo, which basically gives you a second chance if you go down.
  • Solo players will earn more runes, making it easier to level up and upgrade gear without feeling punished for playing alone.

These changes will not remove the challenge (this is still Elden Ring, after all), but they should help eliminate some of the early complaints for those not running with a full party.
