The PTR offers an opportunity for players to test new features and provide feedback to the Diablo 4 team. This way, everything will be ready for the Season 6 launch and the Vessel of Hatred expansion! While we already know quite a lot about the new expansion, Vessel of Hatred, nothing about Season 6 has been revealed until now!
However, during the current PTR, which began today, you can uncover this information if you know where to look!
After creating a character, you can choose between a seasonal or hardcore character. While you cannot choose Seasonal on the PTR, hovering over it reveals the season theme and other information:
Season 6 will be called the “Season of Hatred” and clearly revolves around Mephisto. This seems rather logical, given that we know the expansion will also focus on Mephisto and his influence on Neyrelle and her journey!
There is mention of Hell Portals, which are most likely some sort of new instance for powerful buffs and possibly gear and experience!
However, what Mephisto is planning and how the season theme will fit into the story of the Vessel of Hatred expansion is still unknown!
