As we are getting closer to the end of Season 7 and the PTR for Season 8 is underway, many are already looking out to be prepared for the upcoming season. But when does the new season begin?
When Does Season 7 End?
Initially Season 7 was set to end on April 15, 2025, but Blizzard decided to extend it for 2 more weeks, taking the time to polish Season 8 a bit more. As a result Season 7 is now going to end on April 29, 2025.
Why Was it Delayed?
As Rod Fergusson explained on X, the team needed some extra time to improve the quality of Season 8, leading to the decision to push back its original launch date.
When Does Season 8 Start?
Based on past seasons, the Battle Pass shows the end date of the current Season, with the next season beginning immediately afterward.
Barring another unforeseen delay, Diablo 4 Season 8 is expected to launch on April 29, 2025!
What to Expect in Season 8?
With the upcoming Season, Blizzard aims to improve the game’s overall pacing. We are expecting a slower leveling experience, harder and new bosses, as well as a new and fresh seasonal mechanic.
