Siren Isle’s Surprising Scale on the New Map: A Look Back and What’s Changed Since Battle for Azeroth

Siren Isle is a new island zone added in Patch 11.0.7. The following news post explores its loading screen, actual size compared to Mechagon and Isle of Dorn, and what it looked like during the Battle for Azeroth expansion!

Siren Isle: How Small is it Really?

Content creator soulsobreezy used in-game pins to measure the scale of Siren Isle and compared its size to Isle of Dorn, Forbidden Reach (the Dracthyr starting area), and Mechagon.

Siren Isle is remarkably small, as you can see. Using grapple hooks around the zone, you can reach some of its highest points. We also captured a bird’s-eye view screenshot that shows nearly the entire island from above.

Siren Isle Location

Blizzard has updated the map of Isle of Dorn with Siren Isle in Patch 11.0.7. It’s located northwest of the Isle of Dorn.

A Look Back: Siren Isle’s Early Design in Battle for Azeroth

As you probably know, Siren Isle already existed in the game files since Battle for Azeroth, but the map was never used. Only now, Blizzard updated it and actually made it larger. Dataminer Marlamin shows us the map size in Battle for Azeroth and now, then called AbandonedMines.
