The 30 Billion Gold Crossbow That Disabled Diablo 4 Trading

Find out more about the 30 billion gold crossbow that disabled player trading in Diablo 4 and how it all started.

Ladies and Gentlemen, behold the Rogue crossbow that sold for 30 billion gold!

Cut Symbol was purchased in Discord by someone called Poor guy (how fitting). But how did it all start?

There was an auction for the item in Discord with people willing to pay up to 30 billion gold. The item’s starting price was 150 million gold. One character can only carry 9,999,999,999 gold at a time, so multiple players would need to trade gold to the seller.

In the end, Poor guy offered to pay 20 billion gold and one item but said 30 billion was fine too.

Jeppe (the seller) told Poor guy he can have it for 30 billion because he “can only have 2 friends carry gold”.

And so Poor guy paid 30 billion gold and got his crossbow.

As a response to player trading being out of control, Blizzard temporarily disabled player trading until further notice to investigate a bug tied to item and gold duping, which would threaten the in-game economy.

The seller released a video of the whole trade with Discord chat that you can watch below.
