It’s time for WoW’s premiere event! The Nerub-ar Palace Race to World First is upon us. NA servers get the reset today, EU tomorrow and Asia servers Thursday. We have three major streaming events from the top 3 guilds, each with its own casters and coverage, so there’s going to be plenty to choose from!
Text Coverage
First off, if you’re interested in the race but just want the high-level stuff and breaking news, we got you covered. We have daily race recaps and cover all the major kills, news and drama surrounding the RWF in separate news posts as well.
If you’re more interested than that, but don’t want to follow along with the streams 24/7, Raider.IO has full-time written coverage of everything that happens. From clips, full kill videos, fight analysis, rosters, raid compositions, item levels and more, there’s everything RWF-related you might need.
The Stream Events
The three top guilds each have their own event streams, and they’re already running!
- Echo: https://www.twitch.tv/echo_esports
- Liquid: https://www.twitch.tv/teamliquid and https://www.youtube.com/@TeamLiquidMMO
- Method: https://www.twitch.tv/method
In terms of what to expect from the streams in the next day or so… well, it’s not much. Despite us getting a full Heroic week, the first day or two is almost always spent on more Normal and Heroic splits, Mythic+, and any other avenue of item level/tier piece improvement before the top guilds enter Mythic. We might see Liquid venture in to Mythic late today just to take down one or two bosses, but that’s about it. Then again, this leaves non-top guilds the opening to grab some World First, so it’ll still be an interesting day.
Extremely Fast Recap
The last race was taken home by Echo with their Fyr’alath World First. Echo also came out on top in Dragonflight overall, 2 to 1. The two guilds are sitting at 4:3 in Echo’s favor in all-time raid/endboss World Fists!
And so here we are in the very first RWF of the War Within. Being the opener raid, Nerub-ar Palace could be a short one, but Vault of the Incarnates turned that cliche on its head, as the final boss had to be nerfed several times in order for the guilds (and Blizzard) to make the holidays. So, will Queen Ansurek prove to be one of the greats in the WoW endboss annals? We’ll soon find out.
