War Within Nerub-ar Palace Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 8: Very Chaotic Tuning Aftermath

It’s time to check out how the big class tuning pass changed things, and how everything looks after the exploit data has been filtered out. This week sees one of the biggest shifts we’ve seen in the expansion so far, as we had to double check if we were looking at the correct chart! We have double-digit moves from many specs, as Warlocks and Warriors are back! Outlaw settles in after the exploit and there’s plenty more changes besides, so let’s dive in!

Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Mythic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

There are some MASSIVE changes in the top percentiles since the tuning as we’re back to purple country! Enhancement remains on top, as expected, but right after that it’s pure chaos! Nothing is like it was as we see not one but two Warlocks in the top 3, with Demonology edging out Destruction for 2nd. Destro was at the bottom of the barrel last week while Demo was in the middle of the pack, so those are some giant 20 and 11 spot leaps!

Next in this topsy-turvy world we have Survival gaining a (comparatively) more normal 5 spots and Fury a less normal 9. Assassination rose an actually normal amount, 2 up in 6th, with Outlaw landing in 7th after the exploit cleared itself out. With all those gains there have to be losses as well, and we have Beast Mastery as the first one in 8th dropping 4 spots. Frost Mage bursts onto the scene in 9th, gaining 8 spots, with Arms also making a giant 15-spot leap to close out the top 10! The bottom sees Fire and Windwalker drop by to keep Augmentation company, with the Monk having the bigger fall.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

The generalist bracket is surprisingly similar to the top percentiles, as we see the same top 4! Assassination is doing better here in 5th and the Warriors team up right after that. Arms even takes over Fury, gaining an insane 17 spots since the tuning! Retribution managed to stick around here, only losing 2 spots to the new spec onslaught. Beast Mastery drops 5 spots into 9th, as its fellow Hunter took its No.4 slot. At the end of the top 10 we have two Rogues, with Subtlety edging out Outlaw for that final spot.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Assassination is still on its throne, with Arms now breathing down its neck, fresh off the buffs and having gained 14 spots! Destruction is also a newcomer here, coming up from the bottom middle of the pack, while Survival “only” gains 3 spots in 4th. Enhancement is holding on well, sandwiched between two Hunters.

Heroic Damage All Percentiles

Heroic also sees massive changes, with Arms actually making it all the way to the top here! The Warrior gains 11 spots to do so, pushing Assassination down from the top. Enhancement stays behind the Rogue as Survival is right behind it, and Subtlety close by. Destruction is the Warlock that made it in Heroic, as Demo remains down in the bottom middle.

U.gg Raw Mythic DPS Rankings by Hero Talent Tree

We have some weirdness in the Hero tree rankings, as Balance takes the top spot! We then have a more normal Enhancement in No.2, BM in 3 and Subtlety in 4. Demonology climbs here as well, making it to 5th.
