There’s been another duping issue on Blizzard’s hands, and for once it’s not in Diablo 4!
The Warbannd currency trading feature was disabled earlier today as Blizzard investigated an undefined issue surrounding it. It took a few hours to resolve it and trading is back online.
Some community detectives soon found out what exactly happened and why the feature was disabled, however. As showcased by UnitedDebate5423, it seems the currencies were simply not removed when sent to other Warband characters for some players, which resulted in some… significant numbers! Is 10 million enough though?
Considering many of these currencies can be exchanged for gold it’s pretty clear why Blizzard shut down everything as soon as possible. It’s unclear how many players this happened to and how many used it, but reports seem to indicate that currency numbers were returned back to their normal amounts. So, aside from the feature being gone for a few hours, no harm done!
