It looks like something big is cooking behind the scenes at Atlus, and voice actor Yuri Lowenthal may have let it slip a little early.
Fans have been asking Yuri, who originally voiced Yosuke Hanamura in the previous Persona 4 game, if he’d return for a remake. In a now-vanished post on social media, he gave a pretty surprising answer:

Yep, you read that right. Persona 4 Remake. While there hasn’t been any official announcement from Atlus yet, this comment strongly suggests it’s happening. And if it is, it looks like the studio is going in a different direction for at least some of the English voice cast.
Yuri Lowenthal has been the voice of Yosuke in Persona 4 and more. He’s been part of the series for over a decade, so it’s a bit of a shock for players to hear he’s not returning, especially since he apparently wanted to.
Atlus already gave Persona 3 the full remake treatment with Persona 3 Reload, which was a huge success. So a remake of Persona 4 wouldn’t be that surprising. It’s one of the most beloved entries in the franchise.
We’ll have to wait and see when Atlus makes things official. But thanks to Yuri, it sounds like our next trip to Inaba might be closer than we think.
