If you are crafting Artian weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds, you might have noticed that their stats are randomized. But did you know there is a way to manipulate the system and reroll your weapon‘s stats? Thanks to something called a “weapon seed system,” there is a way to cycle through different outcomes without wasting valuable materials.
How the Seed System Works When Crafting Artian Weapons
Every time you craft or reinforce an Artian weapon, the game pre-determines its stats from a hidden queue of seeds. This means that:
- The roll for your weapon’s stats is already set before you even craft it.
- If you do not like the stats after crafting or reinforcing, you can reset your save and try again.
- You can push the seed forward by crafting a different weapon before reforging the one you actually want.
How to Reroll Artian Weapon Stats
- Save before crafting – Always make a hard save before forging an Artian weapon. If the roll is bad, you can reload.
- Check your first roll – Craft and reinforce the weapon once to see what stats you get.
- If you do bot like it, reset! – Reload your save before reinforcing again.
- Push the seed forward – If you keep getting bad rolls, craft a throwaway weapon using materials you don’t care about. This basically moves the queue forward, giving your next weapon a new roll.
- Repeat until you get the stats you want – Keep refining your method until you land the perfect combination.
Materials You Will Need
- Tempered creature parts – Needed for crafting and reinforcing. Farming Tempered Arkfeld is one of the best ways to get them.
- Oricalcite – Each weapon reinforcement requires 50 Oricalcite, which can be obtained by exchanging materials at the NPC next to the Smelting Foundry in Oilwell Basin.
Plan Your Builds!
Since Artian weapons can be customized with different infusions (attack, crit, elemental, etc.), this method lets you customize your weapon to match your ideal build. Just make sure to stock up on materials, as rerolling takes resources, and the grind can be long!
