New World Aeternum 2026 Roadmap Revealed

Although the last day of New World: Aeternum is still slotted to be January 31, 2027, there are still some QoL changes coming to the game. This is a bit shocking for the community, as a majority of the staff working on New World was previously laid off several months ago.

And believe it or not, some of these changes are actually pretty good. It seems like all of these are based around the fact of rewarding players further for the time they invest in playing the game, by increasing weekly caps across a wide range of activities and unlocking certain things to allow players to truly experience the game as a whole.

Below is the list of the upcoming QoL changes coming to New World, and when they’re expected to come.

March 2026

  • Unlock all Transmog items
  • Increase Gear Set slots to 30 in total (which means you can have up to 27 paid slots if you really wanted to)
  • Increase AFK timer to 24 hours
  • Enable region transfers

April 2026

  • Increase Umbral limit to 100k per week
  • Increase Gold cap to 10 million (in player inventory)
  • Increase daily gypsum acquisition limit by 10x

May 2026

  • Increase weekly Mutation limit to 100 per week
  • Enable daily Mutation rotation
  • Decrease Soul Trial rotation timer to 6 hours

Watch the video below to learn more about these changes.
