Season 4.5 of Marvel Rivals is almost over, and with that, it’s time for the community to get ready for the next wave of announcements. NetEase has already dropped a teaser for who is coming next season, and Gambit and Rogue are finally coming to Marvel Rivals.
Gambit and Rogue Are Coming to Marvel Rivals
Based on the teaser, the next seasonal event will revolve around the wedding of Gambit and Rogue — but that already raises a few questions. Naturally, several X-Men members (and by extension, others from the wider roster) will make an appearance. But could this wedding also tease future characters joining the lineup?
Who’s Coming to the Wedding?
Fans were already quick to pick up that in the teaser image, a King, Queen, and a Rook are present in the background of the photo. So if the King is Gambit, the Queen is Rogue…then who is the Rook? Fans are already guessing the Rook could be Rogue’s adoptive brother, Nightcrawler. Others are guessing that the Rook could also be Juggernaut or Magik’s brother, Colossus.
Another popular theory, of course, is Deadpool. But honestly, Deadpool could be dropped into just about any setting at any time, and it would still make perfect sense. Ever since those early leaks, fans have known that Deadpool showing up anywhere, anytime, is simply part of his charm.
But aside from likely guesses, the wedding should still feature a lot of characters, especially from the X-Men. So will this be the first time that fans will know the next round of characters a few seasons in advance? It makes sense because having a small wedding for such big-name characters would feel odd in the grand scheme of things.
