Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4, titled “On the Precipice of the Abyss“, promises another exciting adventure through New Eridu and beyond.
The recent livestream revealed everything from the Exaltists’ creator to exciting new Agents Banyue and Dialyn. You will explore new zones, face complex combat challenges, and unlock exclusive rewards.
The stream went over new gameplay mechanics, events, and more, including the upcoming mysterious, dangerous, and terrifying story!

A New Chapter in New Eridu
In Version 2.4 you will have to team up with Krampus once more, and uncover the deepest mysteries laying behind the Exaltists, their creator, and more! Dialyn is really valuing her customer service job, but she might be hiding some information that the Proxy will have to uncover!
With one of the Seniors at Suibian Temple eventually joining the Exaltists, things will get even more dangerous soon.
Proxies will also discover more about Sara and the creator, so you definitely do not want to miss out on that!
Meet the New S-Rank Agents
Two new S-Rank Agents will go live in Version 2.4:
- Phase I – Dialyn
- Physical Stun Agent
- Has two unique resources: next squad mate will use their ultimate when entering the battlefield
- Can increase the Squad’s DMG, increase the stun duration and multiplier, or provide an additional boost to Dialyn’s EX Special Attack
- Has excellent stun capabilities
- Phase II – Banyue
- Fire Rupture Agent
- Has mastered Martial Arts for massive combos
- Multiple sets of skills, with different combinations for light or heavy attacks
- Each skill has precise cancel combos that can allow you to chain into the next combos
- Can perfectly block enemy attacks
- Can enter a special state, covering his body with Fire, and unlocking another set of combo
- You can unleash constant chains of attacks with him
Krampus’ special Bangboo, Birkblick, will also release with Version 2.4, and you can obtain him through the Bangboo Signal Search.
Another A-Rank Bangboo called Bild N. Boolok will also be obtainable though an event during version 2.4!
Phase I also welcomes back Hugo and his W-Engine, and Phase 2 will have Ellen and her W-Engine come back!
Exciting Events and Gameplay Updates
Version 2.4 introduces multiple new events:
- “Eh-Nah” Chess Saga
- Overtimeboo is lurking around in Failume Heights. He can only be calmed down if someone beats him! You will have to set up your own Bangboo Squad, and defeat the opponent! it is similar to the previous chess event, but with new Bangboo and bonuses.
- Neo Golden Mecha
- Grace accepted a contract to design a mecha for a movie, and she needs some help! Similar to the previous mecha fighting event with Eous.
- 100% Miss Bunny
- Zhao has an assessment for the Proxy! You will have to complete on-site inspections of businesses
- Lightstream Notes
- Ye Shunguang missed out on a lot while being away in the mountains, so it is time for the Proxy to show her all the cool stuff she can do in the outside world!
- Simulated Sequence Showdown
- HIA Combat event
- The usual login events that grant 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons
- Data Bounty and Routine Cleanup are coming back as well
Version 2.4 also add the following features or changes:
- New avatars, dynamic wallpapers, and trust events will unlock
- Endgame content will continue to rotate as usual
- You can still continue the Vivian skin event during Version 2.4
- Optimization to the Suibian Temple and shop rewards
- Auto-management added to the Suibian Temple for orders
- Default sorting rules for Bangboo has been updated
